The campus of Bethlehem is situated in what is known as Northern Virginia and affectionately called the “DMV” (District, Maryland and Virginia) a suburb of the Greater Washington, DC Capital Metropolitan region.  The church is nestled in the historic community of “Gum Springs” located in the county of Fairfax and a subdivision of Alexandria.

From Points North/East: Travel I-95 South towards Richmond, Virginia. Upon entering Baltimore, Maryland you will have the option to continue south on I-95/495 or you can take the Baltimore Washington Parkway/295 South exit. After selecting your preferred route, continue following the signs towards Richmond.

Upon exiting the state of Maryland (from 95/495), cross over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Virginia. The first exit after crossing the bridge provides two options which will lead toward Bethlehem.

 

•     Exit 1A/Mt. Vernon – After exiting, drive toward the stop light at the end of the street and turn right onto S. Washington Street, which beyond this point becomes George Washington Parkway. Keep straight on the parkway until you see the sign for Morningside Drive, take this exit. Continue around the curve toward the stop light; at this point Morningside Drive turns into Sherwood Hall Lane. Travel a little over a mile and Bethlehem sits on the right at the corner of Sherwood Hall Lane and Fordson Road.

 

•    Exit 1C/Ft. Belovir/Route 1 South – Upon exiting, merge into the center lane. Continue to travel South on Route 1/Richmond Highway until you come upon the Brown’s Auto Dealership (on your right near Alrington Road), start merging over the left lane. There will be a stop light with a Walgreen’s Pharmacy on your left and a McDonald’s on your right, proceed through this light and prepare to turn left at the next stop light which is Fordson Road.  Turn left at this light and Bethlehem is located at the next stop light (second church on the right-hand side).

 

From Points South: Travel I-95 North towards Washington, DC. From I-95 take the Route 1 North/Ft. Belvoir Exit 160. Continue to keep straight approximately 11 miles. There will be a Mr. Kleen Car Wash to your left, at this point merge to the far right-hand lane and bear right at the next light which will be Sherwood Hall Lane (Wal-mart on your right). Bethlehem will be at the next corner to your left.

 

From Points West: Travel I-495/Richmond/Alexandria and continue to go East on 495 towards Alexandria and take Exit 177A Ft. Belvoir. After taking this exit, merge into the center lane. Continue to travel South on Route 1/Richmond Highway until you come upon the Brown’s Auto Dealership (on your right near Alrington Road), start merging over the left lane. There will be a stop light with a Walgreen’s Pharmacy on your left and a McDonald’s on your right, proceed through this light and prepare to turn left at the next stop light which is Fordson Road.  Turn left at this light and Bethlehem is located at the next stop light (second church on the right-hand side).
