Directions to Bethlehem Baptist Church

Bethlehem can be found in the suburbs of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are nestled in the historic community of "Gum Springs," located in the county of Fairfax and a subdivision of Alexandria, Virginia.

From Points North/East: I-95 South towards Richmond, Virginia. When entering Baltimore, Maryland you have the option to continue south on I-95/495 or you can take the Baltimore Washington Parkway/295 South exit. Continue south towards Richmond whichever exit you choose to take.

When you exit the state of Maryland (from 95/495), you will cross over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. The first exit after crossing the bridge provides two options which will bring you into Alexandria.

Exit 1A/Mt. Vernon - when you reach the light at the end of the exit, turn right; this will be S. Washington Street, which turns into the George Washington Parkway. (Take note that the Parkway is currently undergoing construction; it is travelable, but you must be alert to new traffic patterns.) Keep straight on the parkway until you reach Morningside Drive, take this exit. Continue to go straight; Morningside Drive will turn into Sherwood Hall Lane. Bethlehem sits on the corner of Sherwood Hall Lane and Fordson Road.

Exit 1C/Ft. Belovir/Route 1 South - when coming off this exit, merge into the center lane. Continue to keep straight on Route 1 South. When you reach the Brown's car dealership start merging over to the left lane. When you reach the light after McDonald's, get in the left turn lane, which is Fordson Road. Bethlehem will be the second church on the right hand side.

From Points South: I-95 North towards Washington, DC. From I-95 take the Route 1 North/Ft. Belvoir exit. Continue to keep straight approximately 11 miles. When you see the Multiplex Movie Theater to your left, merge to your right hand lane; bear right at the light that says Sherwood Hall Lane and Bethlehem will be on the next corner to your left.

From Points West: I-495/Richmond/Alexandria. Continue to go East on 495 towards Alexandria and take exit 177A Ft. Belvoir. When coming off this exit, merge into the center lane. Continue to keep straight on Route 1 South. When you reach the Brown's car dealership start merging over to the left lane. When you reach the light after McDonald's, get in the left turn lane, which is Fordson Road. Bethlehem will be the second church on the right hand side.
